There are different motivations for generating electricity. We hear the following reasons, among others:

1.     We want lights in our hunting cabin and a refrigerator to store food.
2.     We are in a place where we want/need to be independent of the grid.
3.     We want to save on our energy bill.
4.     We want to run our entire house on our own energy supply.
5.     We are in a remote location and the generator is becoming too expensive.
6.     We also want to generate the energy for our car ourselves.
7.     We want to contribute to a better climate and environment.
8.     We want to contribute to the balancing of the electricity network.
